About Matthew
Matt Bates graduated from Boston College in 2005 with a bachelor of arts degree in English. In 2008, Matt graduated from the Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh cum laude. During Matt's second and third year at Duquesne, he was a member of the Duquesne Law Review. In addition, Matt was a certified legal intern in the Economic and Community Development Law Clinic in his second year at Duquesne. In that capacity, he assisted small non-profit corporations obtain their 501(c)(3) tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service and represented claimants seeking unemployment benefits in front of Unemployment Compensation referees.
Matt joined Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin in 2008 as an associate in the Casualty Group.
