About Matthew
Matthew J. Durket is a founding shareholder and President of the Heritage Law Group, a P.C. He practices in both the Silicon Valley Office in San Jose and the Sacramento Area office in El Dorado Hills.
He was born in Stanford, California in 1960. He graduated from San Diego State University, (B.A. with Distinction, 1983) and Santa Clara University School of Law (J.D., 1986). He is a member of the Labor and Employment Section of the California State Bar.
Mr. Durket began his legal career at Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro as a litigation associate, practicing in the areas of employment, real estate and product liability matters. He then worked for the Santa Clara County Public Defender's Office, trying criminal matters. He spent the majority of his time at the Public Defender's Office on the "Special Trials Unit" which litigated homicide and other serious offenses. Upon returning to the private sector, Mr. Durket focused his practice on representing businesses, both in the capacity of Outside General Counsel, and in a wide variety of litigation matters, with emphasis on employment matters.
