Maurice Chayt was admitted to the New York bar in 1953,; the U.S. District Court, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and U.S. Supreme Court in 1957,. Adjunct Law Professor, Brooklyn College, 1982-1983. Trustee, Law Library, Brooklyn, 1981-1994. Member, Panel of Arbitrators, American Arbitration Association. Member: Brooklyn (Trustee, 1967-1973; President, 1980) and New York State (State Delegate, 1981-1988) Bar Associations; Network of Bar Leaders (President, 1987); New York State Trial Lawyers Association (District Governor, 1968-1975); The American Association for Justice.
