About Meagan

Meagan F. Temple is "Of Counsel" with the National Military Justice Group (NMJG). Ms. Temple joined the NMJG in 2008 after separating from the United States Air Force where she served as a judge advocate. While on active duty, Ms. Temple served as Chief of Legal Assistance, Chief of Labor Law, Chief of Military Justice and Area Defense Counsel. Ms. Temple's litigation experience includes both prosecution and criminal defense. During her active duty time, she successfully defended numerous military members facing serious charges including sexual assault, drug distribution, arson and fraud and has developed an expertise in defense of alleged sex crimes. A particular focus of her practice is before Medical Evaluation Boards (MEB), and Physical Evaluation Boards (PEB).

Prior to entering active duty, Ms. Temple worked as a civilian attorney in the Pittsburgh area. Her other legal training and experience includes working for the United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania, White Collar Crime Division. While in law school Ms. Temple also worked as a law clerk for several distinguished criminal defense attorneys representing clients who faced felony charges for offenses including fraud and murder.

Ms. Temple received her juris doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh. She also holds a bachelors degree in mathematics from the University of Richmond. She is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
