About Meredith
Meredith A. Primeau was born in Detroit, Michigan, and has been a resident of South Florida since 1986. Ms. Primeau earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, cum laude, from thfe University of Florida in 2000. She received her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 2003. While attending law school, Ms. McCardle served as Executive Editor for the Boston University Journal of Science and Technology Law and was a first-year student advisor. Her student note, Fan Fiction, Fandom and Fanfare: What's All the Fuss?, which explored copyright concerns surrounding fictional characters, was published by the Boston University Journal of Science and Technology Law in its Summer 2003 issue. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Primeau began working at a Miami firm specializing in representing policyholders in a variety of insurance, disability and healthcare matters. Ms. Primeau also has published an article in Coverage, a speciality publication in the insurance litigation market, titled The Hostile Fire Exception to the Pollution Exclusion: Good News for Policyholders?
At the Law Offices of Steven M. Ziegler, P.A., Ms. Primeau represents numerous health plans in health benefit cases, particularly in the area of claims disputes brought by providers. She also represents managed care clients in disputes involving direct negligence allegations based on the administration of managed care benefits, utilization management decisions, network provider credentialing, quality assurance, and medical malpractice, as well as represents managed care clients in vicarious liability claims based on theories of agency, apparent agency, respondent superior, joint venture and non-delegable duty for the alleged actions of contracted network health care providers.
Ms. Primeau is admitted to the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
