About Michael
Michael R. Biggott is a former prosecutor who grew up in Bartlett, Illinois. He is now an Associate Attorney at Ramsell and Kunowski, LLC. Michael attended Northern Illinois University (“NIU”) and received his undergraduate degree in Political Science with an emphasis on public law. While earning his undergraduate degree, Michael held a dual internship with the Office of the President and the Office of Educator Licensure and Preparation at NIUI. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Michael attended the NIU College of Law. While in Law School, Michael became a 711 Intern in the DUI and Domestic Violence units with the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office in St. Charles, Illinois. Also while in Law School, Michael served as a Lead Articles Editor for the NIU Law Review, published a Note in the Law Review’s Fall 2018 Journal, and participated in the College of Law’s Criminal Defense Clinic.
After receiving his Juris Doctor from the NIU College of Law, Michael accepted an Associate Attorney position with a general practice law firm where he focused primarily on the representation of municipalities and other units of local government, including the prosecution of ordinance violations. Michael joined Ramsell and Kunowski, LLC in 2023 to pursue his passion for criminal defense and DUI defense.
Michael enjoys watching sports, participating in recreational sport leagues, and spending time with his friends and family. His hobbies include golfing, listening to music, and collecting vinyl records.
