Michael Gerstein's practice encompasses estate planning, business organizations, tax planning, real estate conveyancing and development, and business and civil litigation. With a Master of Laws degree in taxation, Mr. Gerstein utilizes his tax expertise to assist individuals and business in areas of planning and operations. Michael Gerstein has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar since 1977. He is an honor's graduate of the University of Maryland and received his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1976 and LL. M in Taxation form Boston University School of Law in 1980. He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the (federal) United States District Court for Massachusetts, the (federal) First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Tax Court. Mr. Gerstein is a member of the Haverhill Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association He has taught tax law at the Northern Essex Community College and has given numerous seminars to the public on How to Start a New Business and Legal Entities to Employ, as well as giving lectures to Certified Public Accountants on various aspects of tax law and estate planning. Mr. Gerstein combines his extraordinary ability and experience with a passion for the law, a commitment to excellence, and a dedication to integrity.
