About Michael
Michael J. Hay helps lead the Commercial Real Estate & Banking Group of Andersen, Tate & Carr. His practice focuses on the areas of commercial real estate transactions, secured lending, zoning and business law. He has extensive experience in the acquisition, development, financing and sale of retail and office centers, industrial properties, and residential subdivisions throughout the metropolitan Atlanta area. Mr. Hay also represents numerous banks and lending institutions in secured loan transactions. Mr. Hay became a Member of the law firm of Andersen, Tate & Carr in 2001, after joining the firm as an Associate in 1995 upon graduating from law school.
Mr. Hay received his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1995, where he was a member of the Editorial Board of the Georgia Law Review (1993-94) and later a member of the Managing Board (1994-95). Mr. Hay received his undergraduate Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance, magna cum laude, in 1992, from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business, where he was a member of the fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta and Blue Key Honor Society.
Mr. Hay was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Georgia in 1995 and is licensed to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Mr. Hay is a member of the State Bar of Georgia (Real Property Law Section) and the Council for Quality Growth.
