About Michael

Michael was born in Lubbock, Texas. He attended Texas Tech University and received his B.A. in Philosophy in May 1994. He received his J.D. from St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. While attending law school, Michael was a member of Phi Delta Phi Academic Honor Society, Dean's List, Civil Justice Clinic and a semifinalist in the St. Mary's Negotiations Competition. Michael is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Texas.

Michael served as the Briefing Attorney for the Hon. Judge J.Q. Warnick, United States Magistrate Judge and the Hon. Nancy M. Koenig, United States Magistrate Judge, in the Lubbock Division of the Northern District of Texas from 1998 until 1999. Michael was recognized by the Northern District of Texas for his distinguished service as a Briefing Attorney to the Magistrate Judge Warnick and Koenig. Michael worked for the City Attorney's Office for the City of Dallas from 1999 until 2003. He worked primarily enforcing municipal ordinances and state law through criminal and civil proceedings in the District, County, and Municipal Courts. Michael worked for the City of Dallas in the areas of zoning and land use, code enforcement, health and safety law, traffic and criminal law, and civil rights litigation. In 2001, Michael was selected as the Special Ordinance Court prosecutor concentrating on multiple and repeat violators of the city's zoning and land use ordinances. In 2002-03, Michael was instrumental in successfully implementing civil lawsuits in municipal court to abate nuisances and enforce land use, health and safety, and zoning laws. Michael also worked in the General Litigation section concentrating on civil rights litigation. Michael joined Boyle & Lowry, L.L.P., in October 2003. Michael works in the area of zoning and land use, litigation, economic development, eminent domain, code enforcement, municipal prosecution, and general municipal and local government law.
