Attorney Michael L. Fine is a service-oriented professional, educator, and advisor. Originally from Los Angeles, California, Michael received his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Southwestern University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Ohio and California and before a number of federal courts. While in law school, Michael worked as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for the Los Angeles County Dependency Court, advocating on behalf of abused and neglected children. He was subsequently appointed as a panel attorney for the Dependency Court, and he represented clients in private practice. Later, Michael spent several years in Israel and practiced law as a foreign associate with Goldfarb, Levy, Eran & Company, representing clients in investment and intellectual property transactions. Michael has lived and worked in Cleveland, Ohio, for the past 11 years. During this time, Michael spent five years with Zipkin Whiting Co., LPA, a firm concentrating on representing clients in employment and consumer law matters. Michael became the co-managing attorney, and he was lead counsel in numerous litigation matters, including class action law suits. Michael founded his current practice in order focus exclusively on consumer law matters. He has a particularly keen interest in fighting debt collectors engaging in unlawful and abusive practices.

POTENTIAL CLIENTS OFTEN CONTACT ME PANICKED, BECAUSE THEY ARE RECEIVING PHONE CALLS THREATENING THAT THEM WITH IMMINENT ARREST IF THEY DON'T PAY MONEY FOR AN OLD DEBT. THESE ARE SCAMS, AND UNFORTUNATELY, THERE ARE A LOT OF THEM. I DO FEEL WHEN I AM ABLE TO TALK A CLIENT OFF THE LEDGE - SO THAT THEY ARE NO LONGER PANICKED.
