I formed Argent Place Advisors and Argent Place Law to help entrepreneurs maximize the impact and value of their ideas by turning those ideas into intellectual property, starting and operating companies around that property, and maximizing your Return On Ideas (the new ROI).
The mission of Argent Place Law is to be General Legal Counsel to entrepreneurs, overseeing business formation and managing your business relationships—contracts of all sorts, with partners, customers, investors, suppliers, and employees.
The mission of Argent Place Advisors is to bring the experience of entrepreneurship, management, engineering, and law to startup and small businesses with the express goal of maximizing your ability to create wealth while minimizing the risks of poorly-formed plans.

• Creating understandable contracts that properly set expectations and allocate risks among the parties.

Answering A Trademark Office Action Case Conclusion Date: 07.24.2013 Practice Area: Trademark Application Outcome: Client received a federal registered trademark Description: Often, entrepreneurs apply for federal trademarks without using an attorney, or by using an non-attorney online website. The frustration happens if the Trademark Office's Examining Attorney issues a denial in an office action. That's when entrepreneurs usually seek an attorney's help. In one case I assisted a magazine in overcoming such an office action in which the examining attorney asserted that the name of the magazine was merely a surname. With a little internet research and a convincing argument, the examining attorney agreed to let the application proceed.
