I focus primarily on criminal work. A recent client of mine was charged with burglary from witnesses that are active gang members. I took the case to court and my client was cleared of the charges against him.

I have been a practicing lawyer since 1987. In order to build a successful practice you need to get acquainted with the courts in your practice areas. Once the courts have appointed you some cases you can branch out on your own. I have received most of my clients through word of mouth because of the good work I have done for past clients.

Clients should seek a lawyer through experience and word of mouth. If you know someone who has had a good encounter with a lawyer then you will definitely recommend your friends to that lawyer. The lawyer should also know how he is going to handle a case before accepting money from the client.

Local knowledge is very important. You want a person that is in your area and a lawyer that is familiar with the location and court system.

Working in criminal law I would need to know what the client is being charged with, prior records, any witnesses, and facts needed for the case.

What differentiates me from other lawyers is the fact that I am from the Toledo area. I went to school and college here and have worked in the auto factories until 2008 while still continuing to practice law.

The most rewarding aspect is being on the same level as my clients. I can explain to them in a manner that they will understand and know exactly how I will proceed with their case.

My other interest include chess, I was the 1973 chess champion. I also enjoy basketball and the family life. I have been married to my wife now for 30 years.

Yes I am involved in my community. I work a couple of part time jobs, like usher at the nearby sports complex. I also teach chess to grade schools in the area.
