Michael Trauben practices in the area of commercial litigation, real estate and franchise law. He also has experience in intellectual property law, including trademark and copyright litigation, defense practice and estate planning.
Mr. Trauben is currently serving as a Director on the Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Board and is a member of the American Bar Association. Additionally, he is a graduate of the 2006-2007 Leadership Miami Program.
Mr. Trauben is a member of the Florida and Michigan Bars and has been admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. He received his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, in 2004, from the University of Miami, where he was elected to serve as Senior Articles Editor of the University of Miami Law Review and was a member of the University of Miami Moot Court Board. While in law school, he received the Book Award for Contracts, the Book Award for Torts, and received the Dean's Certificate of Achievement Award in Federal Income Tax and Business Associations. In addition, he was a finalist in the University of Miami Advanced Moot Court Competition and represented the University of Miami in the Conrad Duberstein National Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition. Mr. Trauben earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Kalamazoo College in 2001.
