About Michael
Mr. Viterna concentrates his practices in veteran disability appeals. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs and has practiced at the administrative level in every state and before the Board of Veterans Appeals. He graduated from law school in 1995 and retired in 2001 after over thirty years of active military service as a medical services manager. Mr. Viterna is very active in issues important to veterans. He is a frequent speaker on Veterans Law and has authored a chapter for the Institute of Continued Legal Education of Michigan’s book Advising the Older Client or Client with a Disability. He is active with the National Organization of Veteran’s Advocates, Inc. (NOVA) and presently serves on its Board of Directors as President.
