About Michelle
Michelle is a Principal in the Business Planning practice at Zell Law. She is a senior corporate attorney with over 16 years experience representing established and early-stage companies in a wide-range of corporate and commercial transactional matters. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, commercial and government contracting matters, general employment and corporate governance issues.
Before joining Zell Law, Michelle was the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Serco, Inc. In that role, she was responsible for all legal matters for Serco North America, a government contractor serving the federal IT services market with approximately $700 million in revenue and over 7000 employees worldwide. In addition to all legal matters, Michelle also managed the company's compliance, ethics, internal audit, contracts, trade compliance, defense security and facilities functions. She led all legal aspects of the company's recently completed acquisition of SI International.
Prior to Serco, Michelle was Vice President and Associate General Counsel at General Dynamics Corporation. She managed more than 50 merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions, including the General Dynamics acquisitions of Anteon and Veridian. Michelle was an attorney with Jenner & Block and Dickstein Shapiro before joining General Dynamics.
