Mr. Stockstill graduated from Louisiana State University (B.A. 2005) and Louisiana State University Law Center (J.D./D.C.L. 2009). Admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2009. Mr. Stockstill’s primary focus is within the firm’s litigation practice, with a concentration on personal injury, products liability, family law, successions, contract disputes, and collections. Experienced litigator in both state and federal courts. Also has extensive practice in transactional matters, including estate planning and the drafting of wills, trusts, pre-nuptial agreements, business contracts, and residential and commercial leases. Member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Association, the Lafayette Bar Association, the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association, and the Paula K. Woodruff Family Law Section of the Lafayette Bar Association.

Attorney Seth is a Lafayette native who joined Mansfield Melancon in 2020 after working with top Lafayette law firms. He earned his J.D. from LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center and has built extensive experience in personal injury, property damage, insurance defense, and commercial litigation. Over his career, he has represented clients before Louisiana courts at every level, federal district courts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Seth’s dedication extends beyond the courtroom—he is active in pro bono work with Lafayette Volunteer Lawyers and has received multiple awards from the Louisiana State Bar Association. His peers have consistently recognized him as a Super Lawyer and Rising Star, as well as a “Top Lawyer” in several practice areas. He is also a Lifetime Member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an honor reserved for fewer than 1% of attorneys nationwide.
