Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
We obtained a settlement for a group of workers against a company for overtime and minimum wage violations which refused to compensate employees. We successfully pushed the employer to change its pay practices and obtained justice for the group. I also represented an individual who was fired and retaliated against for objecting to the employer's unlawful practices. The employer retaliated, and we recovered all the back wages and front pay, and attorney's fees under the Florida Whistleblower Act.
How did you build a successful practice?
Through getting great results for my clients, for demonstrating specialized knowledge in the field of labor and employment laws, and for my skills as a litigator.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Someone or some firm with courtroom and trial experience, knowledge of the law, recognition by peers for being a good litigator, a good listener to clients, and someone who is passionate about representing people in their legal needs.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Local knowledge of the attorneys and judges involved is of great assistance in many individual cases. However, aside from that, not that significant if the case is going to be decided by the court or a jury.

We can listen and provide some feed back on whether we encourage further legal action or not or if it's a case that we would accept and put our time and effort behind.

The specific facts and details of what happened, what was said, who was involved, dates and times, and the legal issues and claims that each person believes is involved.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
We have experienced trial lawyers and do more than just try to get rid of a case as quick as we can. We also know the law and pride ourselves our working harder than the attorney's on the other side. We have strategies for building the case and increasing the value and chances for winning.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Knowing that someone who is suffering financially has now had their life positively affected and perhaps even changed by the results we achieve by standing up to powerful and larger entities.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Spend a lot of time with my family, friends, I am a boater, skier, and participate in community affairs and charitable organizations when I can.

Yes, with children's cancer society, with chamber of commerce, and with religious organization (synagogue).
