Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
A client called because she had a disability hearing scheduled very soon and her prior representative had withdrawn. I listened to her as she told me of her multiple medical conditions. I obtained her medical records and prepared her for the hearing. We talked no less than two times a week in the month leading up to her hearing. Her application for Social Security Disability was granted.
How did you build a successful practice?
By listening to my clients and by willing to put the extra time necessary to build their best case possible. It's important that my clients know their case matters to me and that I am truly interested in the outcome.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should look for a lawyer that will personally talk to them throughout their case. I strive to myself accessible to my clients to personally discuss their case with them.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Being aware of the judicial make-up in an area is important. Being familiar with the area is beneficial when certain evidence needs to be obtained.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
I can provide a fee arrangement, potential costs to obtain the evidence they would require and a best case/worst case scenario of potential outcomes.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
How did they happen to call our office; have they had previous counsel in the matter; are they aware of what evidence they need and the source of the evidence; will the client be accessible throughout their case for me to contact them
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
My willingness to speak with my clients personally; In some situations I have met my clients at their residence to deliver important documents.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Winning a case for a client that has been told they have no case. Making friendships with my clients that last beyond the current representation.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I enjoy watching sports, learning new ideas from you tube videos and current events
Are you involved in your community?
Yes, I am a trustee for Canton Township where I field concerns from many residents on various issues.
