About Molly
Molly Eklund-Easley is the Founder and Primary Counsel of EKLUND-EASLEY & ASSOCIATES, a company dedicated to treating each client with courtesy and respect, to listening and attempting to meet their needs to the best of our ability and to pursuing excellence through innovation and continuous improvement of ourselves and our resources.
Molly spent the early years of her career, beginning in 1979, with a law firm with over 30 branch offices, staffing one of the offices. The branch office attorneys handled a variety of cases, including all aspects of divorce and family law, wills and probate, real estate closings, as well as traffic and criminal defense. The attorneys also interviewed clients with cases involving personal injury, auto accidents, social security, workers' compensation and medical malpractice and these cases were then handled by attorneys in the main office. She then moved to the main office to act as supervising attorney for 1/2 of the branch offices and began handling bankruptcy and worker's compensation matters.
In the late 80's she established the Law Office of Molly Eklund-Easley in lnkster, Michigan, in which she continued to handle a wide variety of cases and acted in Inkster and in Detroit as the court appointed counsel for individuals charged with a variety of crimes, including disorderly conduct, assault and battery and domestic violence as well as drunk driving and numerous other misdemeanor traffic violations. Molly has a Bachelor degree from Grand Valley
She has served a 3 year term as Vice-President, President and Past President of her congregation at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Congregation ELCA, Detroit, Michigan (90 92). She has been a member and chair person of the Parish Education Board, the Stewardship & Finance Board, and the Deacon Board. She is active in her neighborhood association (Rosedale Park Improvement Association), acting as co-block captain to coordinate block activities and promote community among the neighbors
She has been the Charter President of the Grand-Rose Optimist Club, Detroit, Michigan (94 - 95) and is currently a member of the Southfield-Lathrup Optimist Club and is the Junior Optimist Octagon Club Building Chairperson (06 - 07). She was on the steering committee to revitalize and re-establish the Wayne County Family Law Bar Association and was responsible for chairing the committee to revise the by-laws of the association. She is a member of the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce, a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, and continues in the Wayne County Family Law Bar Association.
She has been recognized for her contributions to society in the Marquis publication's Who's Who in American Law '87 88, Who's Who of American Women 84 - '85 and 85 - 86, and America's Registry of Outstanding Professionals 2002/2003. She has also been recognized in Strathmoor's Who's Who of Business Leaders 1997/1998.
