Mr. New graduated with Honors from the University of Florida, earning an undergraduate degree in Accounting as well as his Juris Doctorate. Mr. New has extensive civil trial experience in both jury trials and non-jury trials. Mr. New has experience as first chair in several multiple-day jury trials in St. Johns County, Duval County and in Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida. Mr. New also has experience in arbitration.

Mr. New has practiced in the areas of complex commercial litigation, real property litigation, insurance litigation, consumer disputes, Florida's Lemon Law and international business transactions.

Mr. New is well versed in Florida's Condominium Act and Florida's Homeowners' Association Act (Chapter 718, Florida Statutes), representing homeowners' associations, condominium associations and unit owners. Mr. New has also represented both associations as well as owners in multiple-day jury trials.

Mr. New has experience representing homeowners in foreclosure and represented consumers in claims brought under Florida's Lemon Law.

In law school, Mr. New's studies also included an advanced bankruptcy seminar taught by a faculty of distinguished bankruptcy attorneys and Bankruptcy Judges. In his practice, Mr. New has represented numerous creditors in bankruptcy court, including in litigation against debtors in bankruptcy court.

Prior to attending Law School, Mr. New obtained an accounting degree from the University of Florida's Fisher School of Accounting. This course of study is beneficial to Mr. New's work incorporating small businesses and assisting existing businesses acquire assets, dispose of assets, merge and dissolve.

Following Law School, Mr. New was selected, based on his level of achievement on the Florida Bar Exam to represent newly admitted attorneys at the Ceremony for Induction of Candidates for Admission to the Florida Bar at Floridas Supreme Court in Tallahassee.

Mr. New is a lifelong resident of Jacksonville. He and his wife reside on Jacksonville's Southside.
