About N.
N.N. Mensah has been practicing immigration law for the past ten years. He has achieved the skill and mastery required for difficult and complex removal cases, acquiring permanent residency status, or bringing loved ones to the United States.
Mensah has first-class trial experience. As a former criminal prosecutor for Pierce County, Washington, Mensah successfully tried numerous criminal cases to juries and to the courts. He has the technical knowledge and skills necessary to represent defendants charged with the driving under the influence (DUI), domestic violence assault or the many other criminal charges that people face in Washington State courts.
Moreover, Mensah has in-depth expertise in administrative law and hearings, having worked for Washington State Department of Health and Social Services (DSHS) as an administrative hearings program manager, public disclosure manager, as well as public disclosure appeals officer.
Mensah has the technical and practical acumen to advocate on behalf of those trying to navigate the complex US immigration system–a daunting endeavor he undertook himself as an exchange student thirty one years ago. He has the passion and ability to assist those interested in uniting with their families, obtaining employment authorization, acquiring US citizenship, becoming lawful permanent residents, seeking asylum status, as well receiving non-immigrant visas, such as student, tourist, and business visas.
Also, Mensah can provide technical advice and representation for foreign investors interested in establishing businesses in the US under such programs as the EB-5 Immigrant Investor program.
He has the skill to do comprehensive, specialized case research and analysis, as he has done both in his own private practice and for a number of law firms in the Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area.
He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA), American Immigration
Lawyers Association (AILA), and Washington State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (WACDL). He is a graduate of Seattle University School of Law, and holds a master’s degree in public administration and bachelor’s degrees in economics and political science.

How did you build a successful practice?
Representing clients as diligently as possible, and relying upon that as a form of advertisement. Consequently, more than one-half of my clients are former clients and their friends and relatives.

Overall legal experience, expertise in the specific area or issue, integrity or reputation in the legal and non-legal community and professional enthusiasm.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
Willingness to schedule appointments outside normal business hours, passion for representing clients in deportation proceedings (proceeding before Immigration Court judges), and free office parking lot.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
It isn't just one aspect; there are at least three rewarding aspects: (1) when young adult clients I represent emigrate and decide to make education their number one priority; (2) when my clients receive approval of a form of relief from deportation, such as asylum, withholding of removal or cancellation of removals, after deportation proceedings; and (3) when clients genuinely appreciate pro bono services offered.

Tutoring children of immigrant families, soccer, history and music.
