Cases

Ryan v. VIC Insulation et al.

Respondent: Attorney for the respondents, Talco Insulation and Merchants Mutual. The claimant, Mark Ryan alleged that exposure to irritants at work caused his condition of chronic upper respiratory and sinus infections. The case was dismissed by the Commissioner and the claimant appealed citing that the commissioner had erred in his conclusion that the condition did not constitute an occupational disease. After careful review of the case the appeals court finds no error and the judgment of the commissioner was affirmed.

STATE v GAULT

Attorney for minor victim in a sexual assault case in which the Defendant was sentenced to 25 years. According to trial information, the 15 year old victim lived with the Defendant and was involved with said Defendant sexually. The abuse came to light when the Defendant carried the minor victim to a Planned Parenthood Clinic where said victim had an abortion performed. DNA evidence linked the Defendant to the fetus.
