Holly is a seasoned Nevada attorney with more than 25 years of litigation experience focused on family law, guardianship, domestic violence, child welfare, and complex discovery matters. Holly graduated from UNLV for both undergraduate and law school. She is from the Charter Class of the William S. Boyd School of Law in 2001, finishing in the top third of her class. Holly has served as a Pro Tem Hearing Master in Clark County for guardianship, mental health, domestic violence, and Family Court discovery matters. Her extensive courtroom experience, practical litigation approach, and commitment to service have earned her a respected reputation within the Nevada family law community. One of her most recent proud victories involved successfully litigating the custody of a dog, where the Court also awarded attorney’s fees to her client.

Kym has been a trial lawyer for over 30 years. He has tried over 110 civil jury trials in both state and federal court in Southern Nevada and enjoys an impressive record of only two losses. He has successfully defended Fortune 500 companies at trial including PepsiCo, Costco, Target, Wynn Resorts, MGM, 7-Eleven, Inc., Xerox, Siemens AG, Sysco, Lufthansa, McDonald’s Corp., NCR Corp., Forest City Enterprises, Best Buy and ConAm Management. He has defended national trucking companies at trial for Sysco, U.S. Foods, Inc., U.S. Foodservice, Inc., New Bern Transportation, Knight Transportation, Mattheson Trucking, and Interstate Plumbing Co. He has also represented national insurance carriers and their insureds in both third-party and first-party actions, including AIG, AON, State Farm, Chubb, GEICO, Sentry Ins., and California Casualty. Kym’s trials have dealt with claims for wrongful death, personal injury, premises liability, products liability, insurance bad faith, and claims for punitive damages. He has handled numerous complex litigation cases and difficult catastrophic injury cases with high sympathy factors. Kym has been asked by clients and carriers to take over the defense of an existing case and try the case at the last minute – all with successful results. Kym’s approach to a trial, once the decision has been made to try the case, is simply to aggressively try the case before the jury – no further negotiations, and no settling on the courthouse steps. He’s willing to “parachute in” a case at a moment’s notice or monitor a case at the request of a client or insurance carrier. Kym began his legal career in Southern California working for a large litigation firm whose clients included major Hollywood studios, movie, and television production companies. Two years later, Kym moved to Las Vegas, joined a local insurance defense firm and soon was trying personal injury cases for State Farm and premises liability cases for Kemper Ins. Co. It was during these early trials that Kym honed his trial skills. In 2005, Kym’s Las Vegas firm merged with a large multinational law firm. Kym was instrumental in opening the firm’s new Las Vegas office. Three years later, Kym became an equity partner. Kym developed and successfully managed a multimillion-dollar book of business, the largest in the office and employed one-third of its attorneys and staff. After leaving the national firm Kym decided to join Dobberstein Law Group to provide more personal service from a small boutique law firm, while also providing more time to spend with his family. Kym has argued cases before the Nevada Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Dewayne has been a resident of our local community for the past 26 years, having settled in Las Vegas in 1986 when his father, a member of the Air Force, was stationed at Nellis AFB. Dewayne attended Eldorado High School and graduated with honors. Dewayne then attended Brigham Young University on an academic scholarship and was invited to “walk-on” to the nationally ranked Cougar football team. After playing football for two years, Dewayne decided to dedicate more time to his academics and the community. Dewayne was a member of the Black Student Union at the school, which enabled him to participate in many worthwhile endeavors involving the local community. Dewayne graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. Dewayne then enrolled in law school at Brigham Young University, looking forward to embracing the academic challenges it presented. During his law school career, Dewayne was a key member of both the Minority Law Student Association and the Native American Law Student Association. Both organizations allowed him to continue serving the local community through various projects and clinics.

Joel Beck was born in Rahway, NJ and grew up in South Florida. After an internship with the Broward County Public Defenders Office, Mr. Beck spent 12 years as a criminal defense attorney, litigating cases almost every day. Upon relocating to Nevada in 2012, Mr. Beck shifted his practice to concentrate on civil litigation including personal injury and real estate matters. Mr. Beck has served as a foreclosure trustee. Mr. Beck has appeared several times as a featured guest on radio shows discussing legal topics.

I am a first generation American. My parents were born and raised in Argentina so I have spoken Spanish since I first learned to speak. I graduated from Clark High School and received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada. After graduating from UNLV, I received my law degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. During law school I was a member of the Law Review and elected as the Executive Editor of the International Law Journal. I graduated law school magna cum laude and in the top 4% of my class. I received the Am Jur Award for receiving the highest grade in my class for Criminal Procedure, Civil Procedure II, and Comparative Law. After graduating law school I took and passed the Nevada and California Bar examinations. Upon receiving my law license, I began working at Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen & Sanders, a civil litigation law firm in Las Vegas. As an associate attorney I defended medical doctors and dentists in medical malpractice cases, manufacturers in products liability cases, and numerous diverse companies in personal injury cases. After a year and a half at Alverson & Taylor, I joined the Clark County Public Defender’s Office and spent twelve years representing thousands of indigent defendants in diverse criminal matters. My first two years at the Public Defender’s Office were spent working in the Juvenile Division. I handled thousands of juvenile delinquency cases, including contested hearings and adult certifications. I argued a juvenile appeal before the Nevada Supreme Court, which resulted in a published opinion and victory for my client: In re T.R., 119 Nev. 646 (2003). After two years in the Juvenile Division, I transferred to the adult office of the Public Defender’s Office and spent the next year two years handling felony, gross misdemeanor, and misdemeanor cases. Thereafter, I was assigned to the sexual assault team where I spent five years handling life sentence cases of sexual assault and lewdness with a child. My last three years at the Public Defender’s Office I worked exclusively handling murder and death penalty cases. Although my time at the Public Defender’s Office was very rewarding, my desire to create and build a top notch private law firm that could provide clients with unique and exceptional legal representation led me to establish the Nobles & Yanez Law Firm. Based on my diverse and extensive criminal and civil litigation experience, there are almost no type of cases that I have not personally handled.

Licensed in Nevada and Utah, Lesley Cohen has dedicated more than 25 years to practicing family law in Southern Nevada. She is a graduate of University of Nevada, Reno, and DePaul University College of Law. In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Cohen is a Commissioner of the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws and served in the Nevada Assembly for five sessions. As a member of the Nevada Assembly, twice Ms. Cohen presented at Continuing Legal Education courses to educate attorneys about legislative changes. For several years Ms. Cohen was a member of the Clark County Bar Association CLE committee, even chairing the committee. One of her most recent victories involved successfully obtaining a relocation out of Nevada at both the district court and appellate court levels.

Danielle is an associate attorney at Sgro & Roger, representing clients in a range of personal injury, criminal, and family law matters. She is devoted to helping her clients obtain the most favorable outcome in the resolution of their cases. Danielle joins the firm after completing a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Eric Johnson in Department XX of the Eighth Judicial District Court. During her term, she assisted the Court render decisions in various civil and criminal matters. She also gained invaluable trial experience working on medical malpractice, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and felony cases.

Nikol Walters is a practicing lawyer in the state of Nevada and received their J.D. from the University of Puget Sound in 1975.

Summer is licensed in Nevada, Illinois, and before federal courts. A graduate of Indiana University Bloomington and DePaul University College of Law, she is now in her 10th year of practicing law and focuses on family law in both Nevada and Illinois. Shaped by her international upbringing, Summer has experience with cross border family law matters, including Hague Convention cases, international service issues, and multi state jurisdictional disputes. She also serves as a divorce financial mediator, QDRO drafter and has been appointed as a Guardian Ad Litem, advocating for children’s best interests. Beyond her practice, Summer is an active advocate for the Asian American community. She serves as Co-Director of Communications for the Asian Bar Association of Nevada and regularly participates in the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s Lobby Day in Washington, D.C. She has a history of volunteering at Legal Aid of Southern Nevada, Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, Asian Community Development Council, Chinese Mutual Aid and Chinese American Service League with her legal and bilingual skills ever since law school. One of her most memorable victories involved securing the return of a toddler from a Hague Convention country after two years of litigation and multiple appeals.

Mike prides himself in providing unparalleled customer service. In his youth, Mike was involved in a serious car accident. Mike hired a lawyer to sue the negligent driver that caused his injuries. Unfortunately, Mike experienced what most people experience when hiring a lawyer: poor customer service and ineffective representation. Specifically, Mike met with the lawyer for the initial consultation, only to never hear or speak from the lawyer again. In the end, the attorney settled Mike’s case for pennies on the dollar. After this unpleasant experience, Mike vowed that the Las Vegas personal injury attorneys at Valiente Mott Injury Attorneys would be different. Prior to attending law school, Mike was one of Las Vegas’ top real estate professionals. In the ten years before law school, Mike helped hundreds of clients with the acquisition and disposition of residential real estate and raw land. Mike’s exceptional customer service caused his real estate business to flourish only through word of mouth. Mike graduated at the top of his class from UNLV with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Thereafter, Mike also graduated top of his class from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV. While attending Boyd, Mike received the CALI award five times for his legal writing, as well as his work in Evidence, Civil Procedure, and Contracts. Mike was also a member of Boyd’s National Moot Court team and won Best Brief at the Sutherland Cup Moot Court Competition. He was also honored as the sole recipient of his graduating class with the prestigious James E. Rogers Scholastic Achievement Award. He was further honored, along with only three of his peers, with the Scribes, The American Society of Legal Writers Award, which recognized excellence in legal writing while in law school. After graduating from Boyd School of Law, Mike was employed at the preeminent insurance defense firm in the country. During this time, Mike defended big insurance companies against catastrophic injuries and multi-million-dollar claims. During this time, Mike participated in a seven-week trial in which the jury awarded over $164,000,000.00, the third largest verdict in Nevada history. After gaining valuable experience, Mike made the decision to start his own firm with the goal of helping people, not insurance companies. In 2017, Mike was voted one of Las Vegas’ Legal Elite. He has earned his reputation as a highly-respected member of the Las Vegas legal community and takes pride in receiving most of his cases as referrals from other attorneys, medical professionals, and, most rewardingly, prior clients. Mike is fluent in Spanish, and is licensed in both Nevada and California. In his spare time, Mike gives presentations around the Las Vegas valley in hopes of educating his community about important legal issues. Mike also enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and two kids.
