About Nuria
Nuria DiLuzio is an attorney with over twenty years of litigation experience. She graduated from Rutgers University, Douglass College in 1989. She worked for Aetna for three years after graduation and began attending Temple University School of Law in 1993. She attended law school at night while working during the day. The night program was a four-year program and she graduated in 1997, receiving the Barrister’s Award for excellence on trial advocacy. She worked full-time as a law clerk for Schnader, Harrison, Segal and Lewis in Philadelphia during her first two years in law school. She accepted a law clerk position with Bethlehem Steel in 1995 and remained employed there until the end of 1997.
Nuria began her career as a full-time Public Defender, Northampton County, in 1998. She accepted a part-time position with the Northampton County Public Defender’s Office around 2001 and continued in that position until approximately 2005. She continued working for indigent clients as a member of the Northampton County Conflicts Team in until approximately 2009.
Between 2001 and the present, she has worked the build her own private law practice. She focuses on private criminal matters, divorce and custody, Protection from Abuse cases, civil litigation, non-traffic and traffic citations. She has been a solo practitioner for over nineteen years. She has extensive trial experience and has proudly helped victims of domestic violence in connection with Protection from Abuse matters.
In January 2018, she honored to be appointed by County Executive Lamont McClure as the Chief Public Defender. She supervises three full-time clerical staff and eighteen staff lawyers
