P. Joseph Sandoval is a partner with GALLAGHER SANDOVAL, PC. in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Sandoval represents employers and foreign nationals in immigration matters raised by future or current employment relationships. Mr. Sandoval also represents foreign nationals in deportation and removal proceedings initiated by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service.
Mr. Sandoval has successfully represented emerging companies and Fortune 500 corporations with various immigration matters. His expertise includes: National Interest Waivers; L-1 visas for intra-company transfers; E visas for foreign investors; H-1B visas for persons in specialty occupations; O-1 visas for persons of extraordinary ability; J-1 visas for foreign trainees; B-1 visas for business executives. Mr. Sandoval’s clients have included Olympians, world champion athletes, and internationally recognized entertainers.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Sandoval was appointed to the United States Attorney General Honor Program. While with the Justice Department, Mr. Sandoval represented the INS before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
As a former federal prosecutor, Mr. Sandoval is familiar with the regulatory and statutory provisions of U.S. immigration law which influence the normal operations of international business. His work brings him in routine contact with the government organizations charged with administering the U.S. immigration laws, and the attorneys and managers that direct those offices. This familiarity proves highly valuable in representation of clients that come into contact with the INS.
Mr. Sandoval received a liberal arts education from The Colorado College. Mr. Sandoval subsequently received the prestigious Horace H. Rackham fellowship at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, where he received his Masters of Science degree. Mr. Sandoval graduated from the Boston University School of Law with distinction in the litigation concentration.
