Ms. Sharifian received a B.A. in International Business with an emphasis in Spanish from California State University, Fullerton in 1994, where she graduated with a 3.56 grade point average. She received her Juris Doctorate in 1997 from Loyola Law School, where she graduated in the top 20% of her class. Ms. Sharifian also obtained a Master in Business Administration in 1997 from Loyola Marymount University with a 3.9 grade point average. She is admitted to the California State Bar.

Ms. Sharifian's prior law practice and law firm affiliations include: United States Bankruptcy Court, Santa Ana, where she externed for the Honorable John J. Wilson from 1995 to 1998; Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP, Irvine, where she practiced in the real estate litigation and bankruptcy department from 1998 to 2000; Snell & Wilmer, Irvine, where she practiced in the real estate transactions department from 2000 to 2002; Bridgford, Knottnerus & Gleason where she practiced from May of 2002 through November of 2005; and Knottnerus & Associates where she has been of counsel since December of 2007.
