Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

A successor trustee of a trust was misappropriating monies from the trust as well as paying his personal bills which was depleting the trust and the appropriate monies were not being sent to the beneficiaries of the trust. Virtue Law firm filed suit and (1) removed the successor trustee and appointed a new family member to become the successor trustee; and (2) the defendant successor trustee had to pay penalties and repay what had been misappropriated to the trust. This amounted to several hundred thousand dollars in recovery for the clients including court costs and attorney fees. A client injured in an automobile accident who sustained serious damage to his left knee recovered several hundred thousand dollars in a suit filed by the law firm and all liens against the recovery were negotiated on behalf of the client.and the client received the benefit of a greater recovery a liens were reduced to approximately 30% of the demand.
