About Pat

Pat was born and raised in eastern North Carolina in the town of Greenville. In 1995 he moved to Raleigh where he attended North Carolina State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (Class of 1999) and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (Class of 2000). Pat then earned his law degree from Campbell University in 2004 and passed the Bar Exam later that summer.

Pat began practicing law with the firm known as Gay, Stroud & Jackson in 2004. When Donna Stroud left the firm to serve on the bench in 2004, Pat took over Mrs. Stroud’s domestic practice, focusing much of his early years on divorce, child custody and support, equitable distribution and alimony. In January of 2010, Pat became a partner and the firm is now known as Gay, Jackson & McNally.

Pat still focuses the majority of his practice on family law matters, such as divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, alimony and domestic violence. However, a large amount of his practice is devoted to traffic and misdemeanor criminal defense, collections and general civil litigation.
