About Patrick
One important issue I was instrumental in securing and defining was the right to vocational rehabilitation for injured workers. When my client was denied any meaningful Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) to return her to work, through an unjust interpretation of the VR laws, I took her case to the Vermont Supreme Court. I won meaningful Vocational Rehabilitation for her, which in her case was a Master’s degree in Counseling, and even more importantly, VR for injured employees in Vermont. I couldn’t let the Department of Labor interpret the law in a way that left the injured worker at such a disadvantage in returning to work. I fought this issue and we won. I am very proud of that.
I value education and families and I have been very involved raising money to build schools in Nepal and Haiti. I live in East Montpelier.
