About Paul
Paul Uricchio has been practicing law in Charleston South Carolina since 1970. He is admitted to practice in the Circuit Courts of South Carolina, the South Carolina Court of Appeals, the South Carolina Supreme Court, the Federal District Court for the District of South Carolina, and the Federal Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He is a senior member of the Charleston County Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association.
Mr. Uricchio was born in Charleston, South Carolina in 1943. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law and was admitted to the Bar in 1970. Upon admission to practice, he worked with his father, Paul N. Uricchio Jr., Barry Krell, and Arthur Howe, with an emphasis on the practice of criminal law. In 19S6, he partnered with Grady Query to form the law firm of Uricchio and Query, focusing on all types of personal injury and workers compensation law.
In 1993, Mr. Uricchio established Uricchio Law Firm to more deeply pursue a personal interest in criminal defense as well as all types of serious injury, including auto and trucking accidents. He is especially recognized for his extensive knowledge of motorcycles, which he has found particularly helpful in handling motorcycle accidents and claims. Other areas of practice include medical malpractice, nursing home negligence and abuse, animal attacks, premises liability, products liability, sexual abuse, toxic mold and wrongful death.
Mr. Uricchio and the other members of his small firm intentionally maintain a light caseload, reflecting a focus on quality of work product rather than business volume. They feel that this enables them to better understand the unique needs of clients and their families. This philosophy has allowed Uricchio Law Firm to continue to provide the high level of personal service which has become somewhat of a rarity in today's increasingly commercialized legal field.
