Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
Several probate/land title cases that took quite some time to unravel, clear title, determine who multiple generations of heirs were, get the property sold and get the $ to the rightful heirs.
How did you build a successful practice?
Listening to the client, asking questions, and making sure we solve the real. Whole problem, not just a part of it.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Someone who will listen, go to bat for them, tell them what they need to know and the risks of each option they have.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Knowing the local judges and other lawyers and local practice is highly important.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
I don't do free phone calls. I will talk for long enough to see if I can help them, and then we make an appointment or not.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
5 minutes to talk, and the client to stay focused on the essential facts so we can determine if I can help them.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I listen, I think through all options, I think outside the box, I sweat the details, I go beyond what the client tells me to discover all the facts, I care that I help the client, I am tenacious and do not like to lose.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Solving a problem for a client who appreciates it and could not solve it on their own.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Sports, reading, collecting.
Are you involved in your community?
Via sports events and some charity work and donations.
