About Peter
Peter W. Chatfield has handled a wide variety of qui tam cases since joiningthe firm in 1994. His practice has included pursuing fraud cases on behalf ofwhistleblowers against defense contractors, construction firms and healthcareproviders. In the area of healthcare fraud, Peter has developed an expertise inMedicare cost-report fraud.
Peter graduated in 1986 from Yale Law School, where he was a Coker fellow andsenior editor of the Yale Law Journal. He then served as a law clerk to theHonorable Alvin B. Rubin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
From 1987 to 1994, Peter was associated with Williams & Connolly inWashington, D.C. His practice there centered on complex civil and commercialmatters, including business torts and fraud, medical malpractice defense, civilRICO, products liability, and labor and employment matters.
