About Peter

Adinolfi and Spevak, P.A. welcomes Peter M. Halden, Esquire, to our firm as its newest partner.

"He brings an incredibly diverse background with a huge amount of
experience," says Bob Adinolfi, a name partner.  "We are thrilled to have Peter join our firm as a partner."

"His approach, personality and breadth of knowledge and experience will help us continue to be the strong, effective and successful firm we are for our clients.  It will help solidify our position as South Jersey's largest firm concentrating in divorce and family law."

A journalist often has to wear many hats while reporting the news.  Upon graduating from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, in 1968, Peter began an 11 year career in both broadcast and print journalism.  He spend the majority of it with the Associated Press.

In 1972, he enrolled in Seton Hall Law School and graduated in 1976.  He was admitted to the Bar the same year.  In 1979, Peter took off his journalist's hat for good and began practicing law, with an emphasis in Family and Municipal Court.

Peter immediately began serving Berlin Township as its Municipal Court Prosecutor and continues to do so.  The New Jersey Board of Examiners asked Peter to joint in 1985 to read and grade essays written by applicants taking the New Jersey Bar Exam.  His experience as both an attorney and a journalist contributed to his appointment.

Peter became a Bar Examiner in 1998 and his role on the New Jersey Board of Bar Examiners expanded to include drafting the essay questions.  During Peter's tenure with the Board, he has personally graded more than 30,000 Bar Exam essay questions.

While serving on the New Jersey Board of Bar Examiners, Peter has also had the opportunity to draft the Torts, Contract and Evidence questions on the New Jersey Bar Exam.  In February, he participated in the grading of the 40th consecutive sitting of the New Jersey Bar Exam.
