R. Monti Reynolds, the founder and Managing Attorney of Reynolds Maddux LLP, has decades of experience in the transactional aspects of business, real estate and energy law. A respected member of the Placer County legal and business community, Mr. Reynolds has a well-earned reputation for being an outstanding attorney and trusted advisor to his many clients.
While based in Auburn, Mr. Reynolds' practice has included Fortune 100 clients and nine figure transactions. He has been a key player in transactions throughout the United States and around the world, including matters in Poland, the Czech Republic, Tunisia, the Philippines and Honduras. Mr. Reynolds is equally comfortable in addressing local issues, where his knowledge of players and politics and reputation for integrity have provided great value to clients. Mr. Reynolds has overseen the formation of dozens of startups, the sale of substantial real estate holdings and businesses, and the development and construction of major projects, including power plants and industrial facilities. He embodies the Reynolds Maddux philosophy, coupling intimate local knowledge with global experience.
After working in the business and real estate departments of the international law firm of Morrison & Foerster and as in house legal counsel to Live Oak Enterprises and Sutter Bay Associates, leading real estate development companies, Mr. Reynolds founded his own legal practice in Auburn, California in 1993. Mr. Reynolds is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley's Boalt Hall School of Law.
Mr. Reynolds has served as Chairman of the City of Auburn Economic Development Commission for more than five years. He has served as a Director of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce for more than a decade and was President of the Chamber in 2000/2001. Mr. Reynolds is a member of the Real Estate Law and Business Law Sections of the California State Bar and of the Placer County Bar Association. His personal interests include trail running, mountain biking, alpine skiing, photography and writing.
