About Rachel

Ms. Miller has 12 years of legal experience with two years in private practice and ten years at the Public Defender's Office.  She has represented numerous clients in all types of criminal defense cases, and had many successful outcomes including jury trials.  Ms. Miller has experience with all types of cases ranging from juvenile to adult, misdemeanor to felony.  Ms. Miller also has significant experience working with special needs clients including clients who are in need of specialty treatment courts like drug court, behavioral health court, and Veteran's court.

I have helped many clients throughout the last several years overcome serious problems in their lives such as drug addictions and go on to a healthy productive law abiding lives.

How did you build a successful practice?

I believe a successful practice is built through good communication with clients, hard work and empathy. If you cannot understand where your client is coming from or what they are dealing with you are not able to effectively represent them.

Someone who is honest with them about their situation and who will take the time to answer their questions regardless of how small. Especially consider an attorney who takes the time to talk to you and really understand your personal situation.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Local knowledge of the criminal justice system is vital to dealing with a successful resolution. Your attorney needs to know how to deal with specific DA's and judges in order to effectively get you the best result.
