About Rachel
After passing the Arizona bar exam in 2006, Rachel started working as a Deputy County Attorney with Maricopa County, where she handled hundreds of both felony and misdemeanor cases. Rachel also worked on a variety of criminal defense / DUI and divorce / family law / child support cases at a small firm in Pinal County before she came to Wilson-Goodman & Fong. Currently, Rachel is focusing her practice on family law issues, including divorce / dissolution, custody, visitation, and child support, as well as felony and misdemeanor criminal defense.
Prior to law school, Rachel worked as both a credit union regulator and a branch manager. As a regulator, she advised credit union management regarding compliance with federal regulations and safety and soundness. She brought these skills and knowledge to her position as a branch manager to assist credit union members with financial issues. Because of Rachel's background in finance and banking, she is able to appropriately evaluate and advise clients on the impact of the equitable distribution of financial assets during divorce / dissolution cases.
Rachel attended Seattle University School of Law as a Presidential Law Scholar, where she graduated cum laude in December, 2005. While in law school, Rachel worked for two family law attorneys, the Pierce County Department of Assigned Counsel and the City of Seattle Prosecutor's Office. In Pierce County, Rachel researched and wrote motions for several felony drug cases. Additionally, as an intern for the City of Seattle, Rachel appeared in court and conducted numerous misdemeanor trials.
