Randy Foret represents officers, directors, business owners, broker-dealers, registered representatives, inventors, startup companies and a variety of oil & gas industry clients – including, service companies, independents and other interest owners – in a variety of litigation and transactional-related matters in Texas, throughout the United States, Canada and France. For more than 15 years, Randy has represented clients in oil & gas and securities-related matters.  Mr. Foret has extensive experience assisting oil & gas industry clients with lease-related matters, financing matters, operator agreements and agreements with service contractors. In addition, Mr. Foret also litigated oil & gas related disputes involving royalty issues, operator disputes and disputes with service providers.  He has represented clients in FINRA / NASD arbitrations, and other securities related litigation, In addition to litigation and contract negotiation, Mr. Foret has performed due diligence and/or investigations on behalf of several energy, chemical and environmental-related companies, including: (a) assisting an east Texas gas pipeline company with due diligence to facilitate the sale of assets in east Texas; (b) assisting an oil & gas company located in Trinidad with financing issues and permitting issues for SAGD operations in Trinidad, and conducting inspection of SAGD operations in Trinidad in order to prepare report for third-party; (c) assisting Egyptian oil & gas company with review and evaluation of drilling fluid contracts with American service company; and (d) evaluating a Houston, Texas  chemical company’s ship channel operations and assisting that company with EPA and other regulatory issues. Randy has also had the opportunity to assist a large French company with a variety of legal matters related to its U.S. and international operations, including class actions and multidistrict litigation involving the directors and officers of major corporations; SEC and state agency enforcement actions; intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark and copyright infringement actions; employment litigation, including Sarbanes-Oxley and other whistleblower related litigation.
