About Raoul
Raoul Bustillo specializes in criminal defense, personal injury and worker's compensation. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York and has successfully litigated cases in federal, state and municipal courts.
Before becoming a partner at Koles, Burke & Bustillo, LLP, Raoul Bustillo was an Assistant Prosecutor in Hudson County, where he prosecuted assaults, sex assaults, drug offenses, robberies, weapons charges and homicides. His clients benefit from his trial experience, familiarity with police and grand jury investigations and knowledge of an individual's constitutional rights. In United States v. Diaz, a money laundering case, Raoul Bustillo convinced the court to dismiss the charges due to impermissible conduct on the part of federal agents.
Other significant cases litigated by Raoul Bustillo include a bar stabbing case where the victim received $460,000 due to negligent security and a chancery case that settled for $1.5 million.
