About Raymond

Raymond Lahoud, an Easton, Pennsylvania native, is a leading immigration law and deportation defense attorney.  Attorney Lahoud graduated summa cum laude from Lehigh University (fourth in his class), with a Bachelor’s Degree in English (highest department honors), earning several accolades and scholarships.  During his time at Lehigh, Lahoud studied at the London School of Economics (International Law & Trade) and the Umbra Institute (Italian Language & Literature).

While at Lehigh University, Attorney Lahoud served as the Editor of The Lehigh Review, earned Deans List each semester, was named a President’s Scholar, was inducted into Phi Beta Delta and received, among other awards, the Williams Award, Cohen Scholarship, Treen Scholarship and Littner Scholarship.

Prior to attending Lehigh University, Attorney Lahoud served as a United States Congressional Page, under then-Congressman and for United States Department of Transportation Cabinet Secretary Ray LaHood (R-IL).  He also served as a legislative aide to State Senator Lisa Boscola (D-PA) and was the founder and director of Youth for America PAC, a nationwide Political Action Committee that raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for various political candidates and registered thousands to vote across America.

When returning to the Lehigh Valley (Easton, Bethlehem & Allentown), Lahoud directed Victory Consulting Group, a Pennsylvania-based political consulting firm that employed as many as fifteen individuals at one time.  Further, Raymond Lahoud assisted in the development of Macquarie (PA), a private equity firm that raised foreign capital for commercial development projects across the United States, including a tower housing one of the nation’s leading insurer’s in California.  Lahoud also actively lobbied for several global corporations looking to conduct business with the United States Government.  While doing this, Lahoud traveled to twenty-nine countries–meeting with high level executives and political leaders.

After graduating from Lehigh University, Attorney Lahoud attended Georgetown University Law Center, where he excelled academically.  He earned a position on the Georgetown Immigration Law Review-a leading international academic resource focusing solely on immigration issues. While in law school, Attorney Lahoud worked for the Honorable Joanne Seybert, Federal District Court Judge for the Eastern District of New York as well as for Sullivan & Cromwell, a prominent law firm.

Attorney Lahoud graduated cum laude, earned Deans List and several CALI awards in many different legal courses, and was actively involved in several clincs, programs and other organizations such as the Appellate Litigation Program, Barristers’ Counsel, Moot Court, Moot Trial, ABA Law Student Division, ACLU at GULC, Catholic Student Association, Hoya Realty Group, Innocence Project, International Law Society, National Lawyers Guild, PHI ALPHA DELTA, United Nations at Georgetown and the Student Bar Association.

When joining Baurkot & Baurkot, Attorney Lahoud brought with him a long history of political, legal and business management expertise.

Attorney Lahoud focuses only in one practice area: immigration law and deportation defense. While he primarily serves individuals and corporations in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey, Attorney Lahoud's immigration practice has taken him to courts across the United States and at all levels--arguing before some of the nation's highest courts.  Attorney Lahoud's individual and corporate immigration practice includes:  Citizenship,  U.S. Non-Immigration Visas, E Visas, E-3 Visas, H-1B Visas, H-2B Visas, L Visas, O Visas, P Visas, Q Visas, R Visas, TN Visas, U.S. Immigration Visas, EB5 Investor Visas, Exceptional Ability Immigrant Visas, Extraordinary Ability Immigrant Visas, K-1 Visas, K-3 Visas, Multinational Manager/Executive Immigrant Visas, Outstanding Professor/Researcher Immigrant Visas, PERM Labor Certification, Family Petitions, Adjustment of Status, Marriage Petitions, Asylum and VAWA applications.

Attorney Lahoud has also developed a keen understanding and knowledge, through his dedicated practice in the field of Immigration Waivers, such as the Visa Waiver Program, National Interest Waivers, Hardship Waivers and J Waivers. Moreover, Attorney Lahoud has a substantial focus on Deportation Defense, at the Immigration Court, Board of Immigration Appeals and Circuit Court levels, having defended individuals against deportation across the United States.  Often, his Deportation practice takes him into state and federal appellate courts, where he seeks post-conviction relief for the underlying crime that led to the commencement of the deportation.  On the other hand, Attorney Lahoud has represented individuals who overstayed their visas or entered the United States without inspection.

While Raymond Lahoud resides in the Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton, Pennsylvania area, he is licensed in the State of New York and practices immigration law and deportation defense throughout the nation, particularly in New Jersey, New York and throughout the rest of Pennsylvania.
