By way of introduction, I am Attorney Reginald E. Shelton and I have over seven (7) years of legal experience representing clients in General Sessions Criminal matters, State Court criminal matters, Administrative hearings with the Department of Children’s Services and with Department of Education, child support contempt, child support matters, custody hearings, dependency and neglect hearings, parental educational neglect, truancy, detention, and delinquent matters in Juvenile Court. Also including but not limited to Civil Litigation in General Sessions and Circuit Court and the Court of Appeals involving a wide range of matters from contractual disputes, divorce, personal injuries, and criminal matters.

  • In July of I was appointed by the Mayor of the City of Memphis as a Administrative Hearing Officer for the Civil Service Hearing Commission. The appointment is three (3) year term and requires approval by the City Council. The Civil Service Commission conducts hearings to review disciplinary actions, limited to suspensions, dismissals, or demotions of any employees not exempted from the provisions of the Charter and Code.
