What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should look for a lawyer who is prompt, diligent, and thorough in his communications. Clients should review a lawyer's results and analyze his reputation in the legal community. Last but certainly not least, clients should check to see if the lawyer has been successful at trial with regard to their particular issue(s).
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Local knowledge has a big impact on the outcome of any case. It is beneficial if a lawyer has practiced in a particular area. Practice builds procedural knowledge and develops intangible assets such as respect and know-how.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
During each consultation, I listen carefully to the concerns and impact an investigation, criminal charges or whatever happened, had on the prospective client. In doing so, I am able to hone in on critical and relevant issues and understand the full dynamic and gravity of the problem that isn't always obvious to the client. Afterword's, I have a conversation about what this all means, what could happen or even what will happen. Thereafter, I provide competent and prudent advice on what the client's next steps should be.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is a successful result. Of course that's what matters most at the end of the day. When a client places what sometimes could be the most stressful and daunting situation of their life in my trusting hands, I stop at no end to ease the pain and uncertainty, provide zealous representation throughout the case, and aim for the best possible outcome.
