About Richard
Richard M. Ticktin is a partner specializing in Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law. In his practice, he represents Producers, Directors, Designers, Writers, film companies, theater owners and production companies. Over the years, his representation of elements of ANNIE and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF have put him in direct negotiation with presenters of stage musicals both in the United States and around the world. He has also had extensive experience in administering music catalogues.
Mr. Ticktin has lectured on Intellectual Property at the Yale School of Drama, Brooklyn and NYU Law Schools and the Commercial Theater Institute.
He graduated from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University where he served as Varsity basketball manager for three years, and was on the Student Government Council, and from NY School of Law.
He currently serves as a Director on several theater-oriented foundations, including The Lucille Lortel Foundation.
