About Richard
Since he received his degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1979, Rick Newman has fought for the rights of people who have been injured or lost loved ones, and to hold wrongdoers accountable. He has extensive courtroom experience representing people injured in auto accidents, by dangerous products, and because of medical malpractice.
Rick served on the board of governors of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and was President of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association from 2004 to 2005. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America. He is the co-author of Tort Remedies in Connecticut (LEXIS Publishing 1996).
In 2000, Rick was appointed by the Chief Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court to serve on a task force to revise procedures for grievances against attorneys. He has also volunteered his time to help victims of the attack on the World Trade Center.
