About Richard
RICHARD P. ROMEO received his B.A. from Muhlenberg College in May, 1979 and received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in June, 1982. Richard was admitted to the New York Bar in 1983 and also admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey in 1985. Richard is responsible for all phases (pleadings, motions, discovery, hearings, trials and appeals) of federal and state court litigation and arbitration in cases involving commercial and corporate law matters, including bankruptcy, brokers' commissions, commercial real estate, construction, corporate dissolution, employment law, enforcement of judgments, ICC filed rate, letters of credit, mechanics liens, prevailing wage law, public bidding contracts, restrictive covenants and non-solicitation agreements, sales and services contracts, sovereign immunity, textile and apparel trade secrets, unemployment compensation and wrongful termination.
In addition to litigation experience, Richard has considerable experience in matters relating to employment law and human resources issues. He has represented clients in a wide variety of employment related matters, including employee termination and severance agreements and post-employment restrictive covenants.
Richard is Trustee of Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pennsylvania, and was elected Secretary of the Board in 2002. Richard has served as an elected Village Trustee of the Village of Mount Kisco, Westchester County, New York from 1992 to 2003. He was appointed Mt. Kisco's Deputy Mayor from 1999 to 2003.
