Case Conclusion Date: December 5, 2007 Practice Area: Litigation Outcome: (Not available) Description: This was a case that we unfortunately see too often! The insurance company for the at fault driver originally offered a "low ball offer" to resolve this matter directly with our client before she hired us. This was a very serious car accident and our client's lifestyle was dramatically affected -- liability was not at issue. Just because the injury was for "soft-tissue" the insurance company automatically "low-balled" the offer to our client. After our client hired us... we were ultimately able to resolve our client's claim (after filing suit) for a substanital figure (many times) the original offer to our unrepresented client. This is why it is important to retain an experienced personal injury attorney who is willing to go to bat for you when you have been injured due to the negligence of someone else. Dealing with an insurance company directly, even your own insurance company, can result in you not being fully compensated for your injuries.
