About Robert
Robert C. Hill, Jr. has been practicing law in the State of Florida in both state and federal courts since 1977. He was also a Certified Legal Intern for the Dade County (Miami), Florida, State Attorney's Office in 1976-1977. He has been in private practice since July, 1982 after having been a partner in the firm of Engel, Chlipala and Hill in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers, Florida. Currently, his primary areas of practice are in the areas of creditor's rights and criminal law. Mr. Hill provides representation in both state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels, up to the United State Supreme Court. Mr. Hill was admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court in 1981. In the field of creditors' rights, Mr. Hill provides complete legal representation, including but not limited to; bankruptcy litigation, mortgage foreclosures, collections and enforcement of judgements. Mr. Hill also provides hearing coverage for numerous out-of-town firms who have hearings in Lee County FL. Mr. Hill is a recommended attorney by the Florida Independent Automobile Dealers Association and has represented numerous new and used car dealers in the Southwest Florida area as well as national and local auto finance companies.
In the field of federal criminal law, Mr. Hill has handled the most serious federal criminal cases in the Southwest Florida region. Here presented Jeffrey Matthews, who blew up the Drug Enforcement Administration Office in Fort Myers and was accused of ordering the murders of a number of federally protected witnesses. Additionally, Mr. Hill represented one of the lead defendants in the Charlotte Correctional Institute case where several state prison guards were charged with torturing an inmate to death.
