About Robert

Robert J. Cardonsky has been a certified civil trial attorney since 1982, the first year that the New Jersey Certification Program was in place. In addition to being a member of the State and County Bar Association, he is an active participant in the Richard Hughes Institute of Counselors. He is also in the American Board of Trial Advocacy, a national organization of select trial attorneys.

In his first few years as an attorney, he was active as a trial attorney designee with the American Civil Liberties Union and in the late 1960's was involved in numerous civil rights matters.

In the 1970's, his trial work was primarily civil, however he successfully represented four defendants charges with first degree homicide.

He pursued in the Superior Court, Law Division, a products liability case on behalf of a plaintiff who suffered serious injuries as a result of a machine related accident at work. After a motion for summary judgment was granted on behalf of the defendant at the trial level and affirmed at the appellate level, he successfully argued the case before the New Jersey Supreme Court. That written decision by the Court in favor of the plaintiff significantly changed New Jersey product liability law.

Up through the present time, his practice exclusively deals with civil tort litigation (personal injuries) including professional malpractice and employment law on behalf of clients who have suffered serious injuries or incurred substantial damages.

"Mr. Cardonsky has had settlements and verdicts in medical malpractice and products liability cases of 1.5 million, 1.6 million and 2 million dollars and thousands of other substantial settlements and verdicts on behalf of his clients throughout his lengthy career"
