About Robert
Robert Chapman is an Associate with the firm practicing general Civil Litigation with a focus on Commercial Litigation and Appellate practice. Robert began clerking at the firm in 2006 and works closely with Anthony S. Battaglia, Founder and Chairman of the Board, Aubrey O. Dicus, President of the firm, Stephen J. Wein, Vice President and Treasurer of the firm and Timothy W. Weber, Shareholder.
Robert is a Florida native, raised in Pinellas County. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors in Business and a minor in Legal Philosophy. Robert graduated from Stetson University of Law in the top third of his class and received the Raphael Steinhardt Award for his character, leadership and service to the community.
While at Stetson, Robert took second place in the First Year Appellate Advocacy Competition, was a member of Stetson's #1 ranked Advocacy Team and was the Chairman of student issues. Robert took 4th place out of 52 teams in both oral advocacy and for his written Memorandum in the National Criminal Moot Court competition in San Diego, California. Robert also traveled to Croatia and Austria to represent Stetson against 210 teams internationally where he finished in the top 2% of oral advocates and received honorable mention for his written Memorandums.
Robert is a member of the Florida Bar, St. Petersburg Association, Young Lawyers Division, and the District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Robert is a scratch golfer and enjoys fishing in the bay area. He has four brothers and one sister who live in the Tampa Bay Area.
