About Robert

Robert served as the Middlesex County Prosecutor from 1992 through 1998. In private practice, he represents clients in criminal law and general litigation. He has defended clients in the Superior, Appellate, Federal District, Federal Circuit and Supreme Courts of New Jersey. He has had numerous reported cases, authored various articles, and lectures extensively. Robert is perhaps the only lawyer in the State of New Jersey to both prosecute and defend a death penalty case. His past positions include: Chairman of the Capital Punishment Committee, County Prosecutor's Association ;First Vice President, New Jersey Prosecutor's Association; Faculty Advisor, Executive Course, National District Attorney Association. He was a member of the National District Attorney's Association. He is also a member of the New Brunswick, Middlesex County, New Jersey State (criminal law and trustee of criminal law section), American Bar (Criminal Law Section) Associations, as well as the Trial Lawyers of Middlesex County.; Middlesex County 200 Club, New Jersey State Police Chief's Association; and D.A.R.E. New Jersey (Member, Board of Directors).

He graduated from Rutgers University and obtained his law degree from Rutgers School of Law, Newark (Pi Sigma Alpha), where he was an Associate Editor of the Law Review. He was a law clerk to the Honorable Haydn Proctor, Associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court and served as a Deputy Attorney General in the Division of Criminal Justice. He was a Research Assistant on the Criminal Law Revision Commission and authored articles on Search Warrants and Expungement Procedures.
