About Robert
Robert W. Goehring has engaged in the private practice of law in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, since 1970. Initially, his career began as an associate with Craig, Goehring and Harrison and later a partner. In 1986, he became partner and principal of Goehring & West. Since 1994, he has been the principal of Robert W. Goehring & Associates.
Attorney Goehring has practiced in the areas of real estate, municipal law and general litigation involving both jury trials and appellate arguments before various Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania including the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. He has filed briefs before the United States Supreme Court.
Since 1975, Attorney Goehring has been an arbitrator in the Arbitration Division of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, as well as Arbitration Panels of the U.S. District Court. In addition to representing investors, he also serves as an NASD arbitrator on cases involving investor rights.
Since 1995, he has filed various securities arbitration matters for Claimants before the NASD including not only securities claims, but employment and discrimination matters as well. He has been a representative to the SEC Conference on Small Business Capital Formation. He has attended conferences and seminars on securities arbitration presented by the Practicing Law Institute and the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association. He is a 1967 graduate of Bucknell University, and 1970 graduate of Duquesne University Law School.
